Welcome
The Temple University VOAD will be changing its name to Temple University Disaster Response Corps.The name was changed to better express our mission and to avoid any further confusion with our supportive partner, the SEPA VOAD.
We will will be working with the Temple University Community which will include Faculty, Students, Staff to develop various workgroups with various focuses developing various support efforts to develop local, state, regional and national capacity for disaster/emergency preparedness, planning, response, recovery and mitigation.
As part of our new focus we are developing a Disability Disaster Response Team (D-DRT) with a focus on the rapid response and deployment related to disasters and peoplewith functional needs. We will initially be focusing on people with disabilities and the elderly.
Introducing the Temple Disaster Response Corps
The andreas03 template has a small file size, a simple layout for easy editing, good accessibility features and well-structured and valid markup. Five small images have been used for the design, adding only a few kilobytes to the template load size. The images are linked from the stylesheet, which means that they will not show up in browsers that does not support CSS. They can also be safely removed, since the images do not affect the layout in any way. In CSS-enabled browsers the removed images will be replaced by a background color. In browsers with no CSS support, there will be no difference.
